Rex Minor

Over the last 30 years, Rex has been involved in many pastoral positions in the areas of discipleship, spiritual formation, small groups, support/recovery groups and as an executive pastor.

For twelve years, he was in senior leadership at Willow Creek Community Church – as director of the Community Care ministries, encompassing pastoral care, recovery groups, and support groups – and later as Director of Small Groups where he focused on small group leader training and development.

After his time at Willow, Rex was the Pastor of Adult Discipleship at Calvary Community Church in Southern California, where he designed and led all spiritual formation and small group efforts in this 4000-person church.

Rex moved back to Illinois to join The Chapel, a multi-site church of 5000. He led all central resourcing in the areas of discipleship and compassion-based ministries for their 8 campuses. After this, he became the Pastor of Campuses where he led the Campus Pastors and all leadership development and strategic planning.

Rex is currently on staff at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA in the area of mental health.

Before becoming a pastor, Rex was in private practice as a Marriage, Family and Child Therapist. Rex has been married to Andrea for over 40 years. They have three grown children, Mallory, Paige and Trent, and four grandchildren.
