Dennis N. Baker
BakerDennis was Michael’s first mentor in how to be a “pastor to pastors” and how to use the gift of networking to help everyone you meet feel like you’re their best friend. Dennis is a consultant with the Goehner Group and Nextstep, and was formerly the National Director of CBAmerica. He is also an editor for Leadership Journal and has been pastoring pastors for over twenty years.
Archibald D. Hart
HartArch’s insight into the various dimensions of pastor’s lives has brought SOULeader it’s emphasis on emotional formation. Arch is Senior Professor of Psychology and Dean Emeritus in the School of Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary. Dr. Hart is a licensed psychologist, certified biofeedback practitioner, and board certified diplomat fellow in psychopharmacology. He is best known for his research on the hazards of ministry, depression, anxiety, divorce, stress, and sexuality. He has authored over two dozen books, and is the executive editor and director of International Relations for the American Association of Christian Counselors and the director of the Hart Institute.
Todd Hunter
HunterTodd Hunter is a Bishop of the Anglican Mission in the Americas, and author of Christianity Beyond Belief, Giving Church A Second Chance, and The Outsider Interviews. Todd is also the founding director of Churches for the Sake of Others and the former National Director of Alpha USA. He serves as adjunct professor at George Fox University. Todd served as the National Director for the Association of Vineyard Churches (1994-2001) with John Wimber. Todd’s influence as a church planting and ministry coach is one of the reasons that SOULeader is alive and well. It was Todd’s challenge to leave a legacy of what God has called Michael to do that empowered him to move into SOULeader full-time in 2006.
Robert E. Logan
LoganIn the mid 90’s Bob provided hands-on training for Michael in the area of church consulting and working with denominational leaders. He also instilled a passion for church planting and multiplication. Bob is the original founder of CoachNet, and has over 30 years of ministry experience, including church planting, pastoring, consulting, coaching, and speaking. Bob is currently planting an organic, missional network of churches in Los Angeles. Previously, Bob was Pastor of Community Baptist Church of Alta Loma, and then served with Church Resource Ministries as Vice President for New Church Development for ten years. Well-known for his giftedness and insights in the areas of church planting, leadership, and management, he has been invited for speaking and consulting engagements in over twenty countries by churches from over two dozen denominations.
Keith Matthews
MatthewsKeith co-teaches with Dallas Willard the “Spirituality & Ministry” course at Fuller Theological Seminary which inspired much of the training that SOULeader provides. Keith is an associate professor of graduate ministry in the Haggard Graduate School of Theology at Azusa Pacific University and also directs the Field Education and Master of Arts in Ministry Management Programs. He is an author, having written numerous pieces including Dallas Willard ’s Study Guide to The Divine Conspiracy , 2001.
Mark Priddy
PriddyMark has been a friend to Michael and SOULeader offering love, grace, and support through the rough transitions of ministry. His inspiring vision for the church as missional faith communities has inspired SOULeader’s passion for missional formation. Mark founded the Allelon Foundation, a ministry in Eagle, Idaho that is creating alternative approaches to seminary education and encouraging the developing of missional churches around the world.
Alan Roxburgh
MatthewsWhen it comes to the mission of God, Alan has had a huge influence on what we do at SOULeader to assist leaders and churches in their missional formation. Alan Roxburgh is a pastor, teacher, writer and consultant with more than 30 years experience in church leadership, consulting and seminary education. Alan teaches as an adjunct professor in seminaries in the USA, Australia and Europe. His books include: Reaching a New Generation, Crossing the Bridge: Leadership in a Time of Change, Leadership, Liminality and the Missionary Congregation, The Sky is Falling – Leaders Lost in Transition, The Missional Leader(co-authored with Fred Romanuk), Introducing the Missional Church and Missional Map Making . He was also a member of the writing team that authored Missional Church: A Vision for the Sending of the Church in North America.
